Maureen Holasek, M.D., a board certified radiation oncologist and
formerly the Medical Director for Central Florida Regional Hospital’s
Stereotactic Radiosurgery program in Sanford, has been appointed as one of the primary attending physicians for the Clermont office of
InterCommunity Cancer Institute. With over 21 years combined
University and private medical practice experience, Dr. Holasek will
enhance the full range of skills available in the Clermont and surrounding
markets that ICCI serves.
She joins ICCI’s team of radiation oncology
experts specializing in the treatment of, breast, head and neck,
melanoma, prostate and gynecologic cancers. Dr. Holasek has comprehensive
experience in high dose rate (HDR) Brachytherapy, 3-D treatment planning, Intensity Modulated Radiation Therapy (IMRT), Image-guided Radiotherapy (IGRT) and stereotactic radiosurgery. She received her certification in stereotactic radiosurgery utilizing CyperKnife technology.

For her Medical Training, Dr. Holasek attended both the University of Tennessee and East Tennessee State University, receiving her degree from the latter. She completed her internal medicine internship at
Eastern Virginia Medical School and her residency and fellowship in Radiation Oncology at the University of Minnesota, serving as chief resident her senior year. Dr Holasek served on the academic staff at the University of Minnesota for one year before she entered private practice. Dr. Holasek has been in private practice since moving to central Florida in 1992.
Dr. Holasek is an active member of the American Society for Therapeutic Radiology and Oncology has been a active with many other professional societies.
